Yay, just 6 more days to Christmas.... Is the festive where we are looking forward to...

Wonder if is good or bad, mummy has been "telling" sweetie there is an existence of "SANTA CLAUS".. Ever since last Christmas, where mummy is the behind scene to create the believe of Christmas by giving a "Santa Paw - Rosebud"....

This year, Sweetie has written in her wishlist to Santa and has placed it safely under our cute little Christmas Tree... Will "Santa" fulfill her wish??? YES!....

Few days ago, sweetie told me that she has heard Santa's Bell when she was sleeping... And that the reindeers will send him down to our house thru the window and deliver the present *Wink*

"Santa Mummy" has almost done with her Christmas and is now waiting for the day to let kiddoes open up each and every single presents...

Brought sweetie to this dentist locating at Kovan Heartland Mall L3. The Dentist assigned to her is a young, pretty looking girl.. And she is quite good with kids, able to use 'stickers' reward.. thru out the process, she explains each individual step she is doing..

20102010: Baby is having fever

Baby just surprise mummy with a few steps crawling on the eve of her bday.. And he is then able to crawl at least half of the living area space.. just as mummy is proudly announce it to the world..

Baby is now having fever.. :(... from a Cheery Baby, he is so cranky today.. He just wants to be carried and even though he stays on the floor there must be someone staying by his side..

By the age of 8months, Baby has now 4 teeth in his mouth. 2 at the top and 2 at the bottom.. And one thing for sure, he is a "tam Jiak" baby... he just wants to eat anything everything when we are eating...

The Siblings Wear

Mummy has recently bought 6 sets of Pyjamas, 2 sets are of the same design different colours, and particularly for this set, mummy got for both silblings..

Seeing them wearing this makes me feel the strong bond between them..

Past&Overdue: No more toothless baby...

Baby has now reached the next milestones at 7months.. that is he is no longer a toothless baby.. With not much of the symptons.. we spotted 2 little tiny spouts at the bottom row in his mouth..

Past&Overdue: Mummy has stopped BFG after 6 gd months

After 6 months of hardwork, mummy has finally declared to stop bfg... this is also due to the change of dept, which means more work.. more pple, less convenient... And mummy is too worn out with the day work and night feeding...

This year, baobei is given a choice. Either to hold a private party for her friends/family or to have a small little celebration within her class.

Finally after a long long wait, is the big day... And Baobei is just so happy & looking forward to go school. And prior to that, she has specifically asked popo to go school together and celebrate this big occassion.

Baby's 1st taste to Cereal

Today signifies a major progress for baby.. That is, he is moving on to semi-solid...

Mummy bought him the baby dining set, the healthy times organic cereal.. washed the old walker which was hands-down by jiejie.. today finally is time to use it..

Before the cereal feeding, something terrible happen.. That is today is also the 1st time baby fell down from our bed... Mummy left him on the bed napping, and went over to the next room packing the clothes in the wardrobe.. Thought everything should be fine... well.. there comes a loud "pop" follow by baby's cry.. quickly dropped all the bedsheets to the floor and run over to the room and found baby is lying on the floor crying... mummy's heart almost dropped out.. so heartpain!!! quickly carry him up and coax him.. Guess is in the boy's thingy, it takes less then 2mins to coax him.. hahaha comparing to jiejie.. definitely faster.

Is almost lunch time and ok here we come.. Baobei and mummy are very excited about the cereal feeding.. Jiejie keep insisting to help to prepare.. Just 1 tablespoon of cereal and mixed it with water... yummy yummy, baby is enjoying every single spoon of it.. see..

Baobei upcoming school outing

The school will be bringing baobei to the Fire station as an outing.. She has been looking forward to the event.. but well, this morning while we are on our way to work/school.

Mummy asked if she has bring along her consent form, then this conversation comes along:

Baobei: mummy i think i don't want to go
Mummy: Why?
Baobei: I think my best friend is not going
Mummy: Why?
Baobei: She sure will cry one.. because her mummy not going
Mummy: But is good for you to go and take a look. Ask daddy if he has ever been to Firestation before. Ok, mummy will ask your J'smummy via FB if she is going ok.
Baobei: Mummy, I will protect her, I'm not scare...

Oh my.. is this what will come from a 5YO child?? she knows the definition of "protect"?? hehhe... perhaps is the school teacher and us keep drilling the word "protect" your little brother...

Baby starts to flip

Today, daddy, mummy & jiejie witness our baby flip from back to tummy.. He is very fast and just less then few seconds he is able to flip over...

Mummy quickly grab her camera and take down so of the pix.. Baby is so proud when we are all clapping, cheering for him...

Time flies so fast...

This is a post dated update as previously mummy started blog late.. well, late better then never... This is baobei's first flipping in action...

Yipee I'm back to pre-preg weight

Today as I need to go back to my gynae's clinic to get the Doc to endorse my Maternity Leave MC, well my HR has accidentally lost the original copies.. And to avoid audit check, they required a "certified" copies.

All these while, from preg to birth to now after 5mths... all the weight check is done in the clinic... And so mummy has done a quick check.. And is now proudly announce I have back to pre-preg weight...

So this shall continue on... No more gain and better don't lose further weight...

9 Good Years

Today marked the 9th year relationship with daddy, thru out this 9yrs we have been thru many upz and downz.. happiness and unhappiness...

Thank you daddy for giving me the wonderful moments thru out the past yrs... lets con't to hold hands and walk on thru our lives...

Baby's 5-in-1 3rd Jab + Hep B 2nd Jab

Today isn't my day.. Mummy took a day off as Baobei's school is closed for staff training. So thought can also bring baby for his follow-up jab, then meet my kaki for lunch, and last stop is to go ICA to collect passport..

First, there is a heavy downpour early in the morning. Then follow by, baobei is down with fever.... Sigh.. how to go out like that. So as time goes, by noon the rain has stopped. So mummy thought, ok we can still proceed with the jab then to ICA...

Who knows, baobei fever shot up to 39.4 when we reached the clinic. And Doctor also found some red spot in her mouth, and suspect it could be HFMD. Which means to stay home for the next 3 days... How to??? We have a back-to-back pre-arranged appointments already.. So mummy told Dr Ivan to give her a dosage of Paracetamol & Bhrufen just to bring down the temperature. Poor girl, her whole body is shivering in cold. Can see the pale face..

Now is baby's turn... Dr Ivan did a check on him.. He is now 62cm tall, weight 6.9kg. When ly on back, he can easily pull up baby without him using much strength. So Dr suggest us to practise some motor skills with him daily. To sit with support, To stand on legs, To ly him on tummy... This will help to build up his spinal strength..

Is the Jab's time.. Baby is on mummy lap so when dr ask mummy to hold his hand.. Baby immediately sense something is not right and start crying even the needle hasn't poked into his thigh... Dr is fast, he quickly distracted him, and give him the poke... hahaha... this time round baby only cries for a short while, just less then 2mins he quiet time... Guess he knows that is over...

Baobei's Eye Check -3rd Visit

Today is the 3rd visit to Eagle Eye, as Baobei will need to rush off to catch 1pm "Toy Story 3" show at vivocity, mummy pre-informed the receptionist so as they are able to squeeze in our Queue and not waiting for too long..

About 45mins later, the optometrist call for us, after doing the prelimary check, she said there will be a need to drop eyedrops for dilation to check if her eyesight have gotten any better since the putting on off glasses and eye patch. Baobei is very coorperative when she put the eyedrop.. After waited for about 30mins, the optometrist did another check and from her, her review sound so pessimistics.

Anyway, we still need to wait for our appointed specialist, Dr Lim. Ahhh har.. his review is much more better. He said baobei's long-sightedness on her right eye has improved quite a lot. From the 2nd review, 6/21 down to 6/12. But for her left eye it has slightly worsen alittle, from 6/6 to 6/7.5. He is happy that her right eye is responding well, and hopefully by the next appt, the eyesight will improve even more....

Due to that, we need to change the lens of the glasses so as to further enforce the eye to see..

Yipee it is indeed a good news.

Mummy's little helper

Today after we have came home from school, is time baby wants his milk. Mummy took out the bottle of mik from the kitchen and going to give it to him..

Baobei all sudden said, mummy let me feed him. And I more than happy to let her help, well.. for other people they may worry this, worry that. To me, if i dont let her do it, how would i know she really can't do it.

So i carefully placed baby into baobei's arm... helped her to open the cover of the bottle... place the hanky underneathe

A Nice Evening Outing @ Marina Barrage

AFter Baobei's artclass, we decided to go Marina Barrage for a short walk.. Also because, we have never been there.. Hahaha.. alittle mountain tortotise isn't it?...

Anyway we made our way there, and baobei is so excited about the kites.. But this place is too crowded.. everywhere is people, everywhere is kites...

Baby initially was sleeping in his stroller, but due to the hot hot weather, he woke up just after 15mins of nap..

Just within 30mins, we completed the tour of Marina Barrage. As time is approaching 6pm, we decided to have an early dinner just to avoid the crowd later on. Yes, we have the Hainanese Chicken Rice which used to be located a 7th Storey @ Bugis. The waitress asked if we wanted to have steamboat, but need to be outside of the restaurant.. HAhaha our answers. NO... we prefer to take ala-carte menu.

RIP Our beloved Mr Purple & Welcome aboard Mr Blue

Today it marks the end of life of our purple steriliser. We will never forget all your contributions over the past 5yrs. You had walked with us all along with the birth of Baobei, watching her growth, and welcoming our birth of Baby... Unfortunately, you are not able to see his growth.. All these yrs, you have never uttered a single word despite all the OTs especially during mummy's breastfeeding days.... Thank you.....

And well, today it also marks the start of life of our blue steriliser... Welcome on board.. We trust you will give us your unlimited contributions.....

Mummy & Darlings @ The Pinnacles, Duxton

Mmmy has bought a second hand breastpump from one of the aunties selling in the forum.. Happen that this aunty is just staying at the Pinnacles.

She is such a nice lady, without asking, she actually offered us her residents' card for mummy to bring baobei to the sky bridge. Else mummy will have to pay $5 per pax.

Baobei is so excited about it, as this is her first time travelling up to 50th storey.. Weather is hot & sunny as it is just past noon... We quickly took a few shots and leave...

After collection, we left to Raffles City.. now is the GSS period, the mall is so packed with crowd.. hardly can shop around as mummy carrier baby and baobei is in the stroller... We had a really early dinner at Shokudo JApanese Food Bazaar.. A nice place for family... As there is a small corner with kids mini playground, and well that is good enough to keep our little princess occupy.

Baobei downs with cough..

Baobei has been coughing with phelgm for the past 3 days... as usual mummy doesn't like to give her prescribed medication so as to allow her body to build her immune system.

Previously when baby is also coughing, popo got this "chinese medic" from the medical hall.. According to the chinese physician, this is very good for phelgm..

True enough, after just 2 dosages baobei cough less.. con't on for another 3 days.. Phelgm is gone.. Whether believe it or not, sometimes chinese medicine just work wonders.... And this bottle just cost not more than $6, can be found in those medical hall..

Baobei starts her weekly arts class

Given a choice between learning piano and learning arts.. Baobei choose drawing as her weekend extra activities.

Mummy found a class held in the neighbouring community centre. it will be a 1.5hrs weekly program. After signing up, daddy brought her to the Popular bookstore and bought her all the basic colouring materials. ie: drawing block, 24-colours crayon...

Few days before this actual day, baobei is so excited about it, and she is looking forward to it..

We were early and outside the classroom waiting for the teacher to come.. Seem like there are quite a number of kids enrolling... And it does.. The whole class comprises of 1-teacher with almost 30 children.

As this is Baobei's first class, the teacher allow parents to stay in.. So DAddy, mummy & Baby stayed with her thru out.. And mummy the "helper", helps her to get the hang of outlining, colouring with crayons and finally finish off with water colour.

Family BBQ Gathering @ Jiujiu's house

Jiujiu & Jiuma have officially moved into their new house locating in Yishun..

Though the place is not very accessible, well that their choice.

They have organised a family BBQ together with the grandparents, Da-gu & family, and of course our family as well..

Don't ask me why not many photos are taken and only few of us are in the pix... Cos baobei is the photographer on that evening... This is also Baby's 1st BBQ and stayout after sunset.. Not a good experience though, as he is already very tired with not much nap during the day, weather is hot that night... plus there's 2 little monster jiejie running, screaming around... hahahhaha.. how to sleep????.....

That night is a terror for mummy, think baby has been over-stimulated or perhaps got frightened.. At midnight he was crying, screaming... as usual daddy will never bother to wake up and try to coax him.. Thank goodness popo is always around, and we gave him "Jin Feng San" to soothe him...

Baby's 5-in-1 2nd Jab

one month has past, is time for baby's 2nd jab... Today is very special, because both daddy & jiejie are around as well... 1 day before the jab, mummy made some american ginseng water for him, according to what we heard this will help to prevent baby to develop fever after the jab... How true??? No idea... *touchwood* so far it works... Mummy is alittle KS, not only giving 1 feed of the water, she made another feed for him just before the jab.

Baby is now 61cm, weighing 6.+kg.. it is daddy whom follow thru all the checks, that's why mummy never take note of it, will check it out during our next visit. As you can see, baby isn't really happy about it, hahahaha think he knows he got to get poked by dr Ong again..

Siblings Love

PArents out there, have you ever having fears of having 2 kids???? Facing siblings rivalry, jealousy, etc.. etc..

Well, I guess so, cause i have that too.. And that's the reason why mummy always try not to divert too much attention away from baobei.. afterall it has been 4.5yrs, and she has been taking alot of attention from us..

Giving that, we also encourage her to participate as much of the didi's activities. ie.. all our pre-natal check, baobei is always there. When didi is smiling, we told her is because he is happy to have jiejie's love, etc etc.

After hearing what jiejie has told didi in this video. Mummy is so proud of her and so thankful to have them as my kids.

Mummy's thoughts

What is happiness?
People living around me, some afford to have luxurious lifestyle own properties, own big cars, travelling around the world, buying branded stuff... etc etc.. Maybe they are happy??? but to me, life will be so empty without the bundle of joy in the family... If ask me am i happy?? My reply YESSS!!! well sometimes i do grumble on this on that... I don't have landed-properties, neither i have cars, neither i can travel like nobody business... but what I have is my 2 lovely kids where other people don't have...

They are my assets, unlimited returns... yes they can be quite handful at times, sometimes baobei will throw tantrums, baby will cry for nothing... It can be tiring to take care of them when they are not well, waking up every few hours to feed them milk... All these can be melted when they just show their kind gesture... Baobei always say : Mummy I love you.... Or Baby gives you a big smile...

Happines sometimes can be found in families whom live humbly... My goal in life, is not to be ambitious... I live within my means... give my best to nurture my 2 kids.... I never pin any hope if future they need to return anything to me... I don't need them to work and feed me...

All I want to tell them.. Mummy Loves you....You are my precious... Pricelesss... And the only one in the world...

The Opening Ceremony of Ergo Carrier

Previously when Van & Aileen bought it to use for their kids 2yrs back. Mummy is already drooling to get 1 to use it for Baobei as this can carry up to 25kg... But there and then, daddy asked if i will still hve the strength to carry a 15kg baobei on my body and walk for hours?? Answer is No..

So Van & Aileen said," We will get 1 for you if you are preg with #2"... And yes, they really keep their words. When they first know i'm pregnant, they have already bought this ergo carrier and kept it only till Baby turn 1mth....

As we don't have the infant insert, so is not advisable to use it for a newborn... Wait & Wait... now finally mummy can use it..

IT was started off when baby isn't very happy with it.. partly also because mummy hasn't get the hang of it.... and also the position to buckle on the waist, the length adjustment, etc...  but well, baby still give alittle face to me, and stayed in there for 1hr during jiejie's model class.

As most of the people know, previously i used alot of sling on Baobei.. But as the weight is always concentrated on 1 side of the shoulder, it usually cause aching after long hours.

Mummy is back to work - Week 1

AFter a long long 17.5wks of leave, mummy is back to work.... It is now finally the weekend.

First day of work, mummy is very tired in the morning as still have to wake up for midnight feedings and expressing of milk... But all tireness went off when baby woke up and give a big smile and send to the door. Well, baobei is particularly happy, when asked why she in such a high spirit she said. "Mummy can now go out with me in the morning"... Hahahaha...

In the office, there are many changes, more new faces, some have left, so have changed dept, etc etc.. The whole day is like a refresher day, i need to reset my pc, to review the past cases, refresh the memory on how to use the system... And in my mind, i just keep thinking what is baby doing at home, is he ok, and..... So during lunch hour, when i called popo to check on him, the moment he heard my voice he started crying... Popo says he is ok before you call..... After trying for the 2nd time on the next day, mummy concluded don't call better...

Moving on to the third day, baby really sayang mummy... He wakes up only 1 time for his night feeding which is like 6hrs apart and doze back to sleep after that and still wakes at 7am every morning and smile to us while we are preparing and send us to the door....

Mummy is quite upset where her milk supply drops tremendously... from the 240ml-300ml, 6hrs interval drops to only 120ml-200ml.... Is coming to 4mths, is time to wean him off EBM and start Formula le.... Anyway, i still express during lunch hour in the office.. hope i can just stay on for another 1-2mths... Ganbate!!!!

Baobei's new mattress

All these while, baobei has been sleeping on a 2layers of tri-fold mattress (1 is own, and the other is previously at Jiujiu house) which all bought from Seahorse.. One night when baobei insist to go over to jiujiu's house for stayover.. they took away 1 layer...

With juz 1 single layer, the whole mattress look so thin and uncomfortable.. So daddy decided to get her a new mattress... and while waiting for her to get ready to sleep on her own in future... After much persuasion from mummy, daddy bought her a Super-single mattress from the Mattress Centre and it cost us $388 for this pocket spring mattress, is a good deal...

And look at her, she look so tiny on it and can even roll around..

Baby 1st development - Heads up when on tummy

This is baby at 15th week, he is able to support his head very steadily when on tummy.. Unlike Baobei, during this time she is alittle wobbily. Also another cheeky boy, he knows how to smile to camera... hahahaha

Baby 1st Swim

As we have postponed couple of times, finally we brought baby to Babyspa @ Plaza Sing for his 1st swim.

We got a membership card with last session from Daddy's colleague which means it will be a complimentary session for us today and also a $10 off voucher from the TMC Hospital during our stay which this can offset any of the service.. and Mummy thought to give baby a good massage..

Baobei is very excited to bring her didi for the swim as she has seen many other babies swimming before.

First, the aunty there will need to change the diaper to the swimmer diapers... Then she start doing the warm-up massage... Look at him, simply enjoying every seconds of the service.

Ok, ready for the swim????,,,, So proud of this little one, not only he didn't cry he gets adapt to the little pool very fast and he start to kick his legs underneath.,. Mummy at first requested the aunty to take a family photo for us, she asked us to wait a while... Wait wait wait, mummy forgotten all about it and baby is out of the pool.. *SHUCKS*

After 10mins of pool, what comes next?? MASSAGE!!!!... Look at his shiok face, is really worth spending..

Penang Trip - Day 2

We start our day having brunch at Coffee Bean and did our room check out after that...

Booked a hotel taxi, and paid 28RM to send us to Hard Rock Hotel.. The Hotel is really nice...

Spent the whole afternoon swimming in the pool and we also tried the Beach Jeep at 70RM for 25mins.. it was really fun.. As this is the 1st time baobei taking the ride and she is sitting in front, after good 10mins she wanted to stop playing and con't on with her pool.

After wash up and all, we headed to the opposite massage shop, daddy did an hr foot massage and mummy half hr foot massage and pedicure...

Penang Trip - Day 1

The flight is at 7am and therefore we need to reach airport by 6am. Baobei is very co-operative and she woke up excitedly, took her milk and after our last final pack-up.. PENANG, here we come.

This is our first time taking Jet-star budget airline, since is only an hr journey time passes very fast.

After we have arrived Penang Int'l Airport, we took the airport taxi just need to go arrival hall - taxi counter and we pay 42RM to travel down to Gurney Drive, whole journey takes about 45mins to reach G-Hotel. Though the hotel check-in time suppose to be 3pm, we managed to check in upon arrival. (this is the 2nd time i stayed in this hotel, it is rated as boutique hotel simply love their reception area... Look at the deluxe room, it is just so spacious. The toiletries provided from the hotel is specially from Aigner..

Something for memorable, mummy discard the 1st EBM. **HeartPain**

Ok, after settling down and off we go to enjoy our every single itinerary in Penang - Gurney.

Thru the hotel, we book a taxi at hourly rate 40RM to bring us around. In summary of our itinerary, total 4.5hrs:

- Chocolate Shop

- Coffee Shop
- Honey shop
- Penang Botanical Garden
- Penang Bridge
- Kek Lok Si Temple
- Tau Sa Biscuit shop

After we have returned to the hotel, first thing we do was, GET CHANGED TO SWIM... Weather is really really hot, even don't swim, soak into water can help to cool our whole body. Stomach is hungry now, time for dinner. We just settle our dinner at the nearby hawker and we tried the Fried Oyster, Char Kway Teo Stall (not opened). Baobei luv the Wantan Mee, she ate like 3/4 of the whole plate.

After recharge with food, is time to shop... Just "window-shopping" in Gurney Plaza till 9pm and that we ended our day......

Mummy & Baobei's New Watch - Gift From Daddy

Daddy has bought 2 watches this month.

Baobei's - Disney Princess Aurora.
->> Baobei has been wanting us to buy her a disney princess watch, it is quite pricey and that's why we didn't really wanted to get for her initially. We told Baobei she need to behave herself and also to start learning to read time... And she really did!!! She has been asking us how to read time from the clock..

Mummy's - Ball Automatic Watch
->> Daddy said he wanted to get a gift for mummy as an appreciation for delivering 2 lovely kids. Initially, he heard mummy wanted to buy a bag, he asked her to look around. After much thoughts, mummy still prefer to get something which has a longer lifespan.. Bags, usually don't last for more than 1yr. Watch is the next better choice.

Baobei's Eye Check -2nd Visit

It has been 6wks since the last visit to Eagle Eye Centre @ Mount Alvenia. Today will be the follow up check up to see if Baobei's lazy eye show any improvement after 6wks of wearing glasses and daily eye-patching.

We have been quite worrying if the eye-sight condition will deteriorate, after the check-up by Dr Lim WK, we have received the best of news... That is there is signs of improvement on her eye-sightness... He also has suggested to put on glasses as much as possible in order to encourage the eye to see.

The degree on the right eye (6wks ago) was 6/24, now it has been down to 6/21.

Baobei pls keep up the good work, hope you will be freed from glasses soon....

Baby's 5-in-1 1st Jab

Time really flies, baby has turned 3months... Is time now for him to start his 5-in-1 1st jab..

Mummy has decided to go private clinic - Family Doctor, Dr Ivan, instead of Polyclinic, since the price does not difference that much.

Dr Ivan did an overall check on his weight, height, eye-motion, hearing, and finally the jab on his left thigh... Overall baby is growing well & healthily.. Throughout the check, baby keep smiling & gooling to Doc then doc told him, now you like me so much later after the jab u will sure hate me...

Baby is very brave juz like his sister, he didn't cry that bad, only wail for a short while like 2-3mins... mummy is just so proud of you and jiejie... See his super unhappy face.

After effect- What happens after this jab, baby didn't poo for the next 2 days... His tummy is so bloated, he farted alot.. but nothing comes out.. Well, 2 days later, the "peanut butter" arrives.

Baby 1st hair cut @ Supercuts

Baby has his first haircut by Uncle Tony from Supercuts, it started off baby was crying and crying due to the recline position. So mummy changed him to upright position and it works better... Look at his blur blur face, super cute.
