Daddy is back from Taipei

Yeah, daddy is coming back today.... Also we have broke our record, 14hours away from home.

Today is a gai gai day with Aunty Aileen & Lucas didi before going airport to fetch daddy at night. Supposingly we wanted to take a train from SK MRT to town, who knows Uncle Eron offered to send us thr. Know what, he is driving a modified Subaru, and at the junction outside our house, before we can see his car, we can hear his exhaust sound... is really noisy...

Well, ok since he has offered us the trip, he tried to detour a little of his journey to avoid Traffic Police due to his car modification. But who knows, the more you avoid, the more you will meet. And indeed he was stopped by a LTA Police at the junction along Kallang Road towards ICA. We dropped off at ICA to take train down to town.. <<Haha, this is to tell you don't mod your car till you can't drive>>

We have reached Town, and this was our trip itinerary
> Lunch @ Crystal Jade Kitchen in Takashimaya
> Shopping in Paragon, and mummy has bought a pair of Osh Kosh Shoes for baobei.. Traded in an old pair of shoes for $20... So in the end mummy only paid $29 for the shoes.

> Dinner @ Jia Xiang noodle house in CP


is about 6.30pm, we thought will just make our way to the airport and have our dinner there.. who knows Jiujiu called to say he doesn't have our housekey.. he can't feed doggie.... Bobian, we changed our route, halfway the journey home, Jiujiu called to say he has found the key and we need not come home... But we were already at the midway to SK... Nvrm, we juz headed back to hometown and from thr took a cab.

Baobei really miz her daddy very much, she kept asking if daddy is reaching already.. at the arrival gate, she kept looking out for her daddy. After she spotted him at the luggage belt, she shouted "DAddy, daddy, I luv you" haha... just along the arrival, there are some fans awaiting for a HK artiste.. it seem likes baobei is a fan waiting for her idol.. so funny.

Daddy is Outstationed

Daddy is away during the period from 21 Apr - 25 Apr, this is his semi-biz trip.. should say is the 1st time he is away for so many weekdays. life is really horrible for me.. And this period, I totally has became a superb hot-tempered mummy. Day-to-day, I need to wake up early as usual, prepared all necessary. weather is really sucks these days... really really hot~!!!..

Imagine, every morning I have to walk out from my place to the nearest LRT station and that is about 8mins walk. Then take a LRT to MRT station, take the MRT train and send baobei to school, then rush to work in the City. This apply to returning home in the evening. For 4 consecutive days, by time I reached office/home i'm so exhausted.

Luckily during this period, Popo comes everyday to cook dinner for us. Help out a little on both Baobei & Doggie....

I can't forget how I became so agitated almost everynight whenever Baobei turns grouchy...she is afterall a 4YO girl, she is also trying very hard to well behave during this period as DAddy has promised her that if she behaves he will get her a new batch of fishes.

On the last nite, it was the most terrible.. Popo didn't come.. Thought since is already weekend, will bring baobei for a dinner @ CP Sakae Sushi after fetching her from school. And this turns out to be the night I shouted on her at the taxi stand in the public... and as a result I broke down into tears... It really pains me to have scolded her for a small little thing, and I apologised to her after the incident. Know what? Baobei actually asked me, "Mummy why are u crying?? And I luv you mummy.." Can you imagine how this has melted my heart???

All this while, we have been changing different batches of fishes and finally have 2 goldfishes and 1 small breed of those tropical fish which have been the survivals throughout the months. Till 1 day, when baobei told daddy that she doesn't has enough fish. And daddy told her, he will help to add on to the aquarium family.

Things got bad, 2 days later after daddy's comment, 1 of the goldfishes died. subsequently another 2 days, the other goldfish also died... Baobei got very upset, and we told her if she behaves well we will bring her out to buy new fishes later.. And she really behaves. She sleeps, eats her dinner. no grouchiness.

In order to keep promise, right after we had our dinner, we took her to Fernvale aquarium shop. So sad, the shop isn't opened. And how??? We called Jiujiu's helpline. Asked him to bring us to the one of the nearest shop in Hougang. And there we bought this batch of Mickey Mouse Fishes... Why are they call Mickey mouse?? All the tails have this Mickey mouse "logo" imprint.. haha.. cute right? Jiujiu said he pays for the fishes, $3.60 for 6 of them

After we came home with the fishes, Baobei freed them into the tank. See her contented face.

Well.. this doesn't last... days after days, the fishes died 1-by-1. By the 6th day, all the fishes are gone. This is due to the higher chlorine level of water in Fernvale. Also the "disease" passed on by the older batch of fishes..

AS recommended by the aquarium shop owner in Fernvale, we need to "Sterilise" the whole tank before getting new fishes...

Baobei's bad experience on BOUNCER

The weather is really  a killer.. It is so hot.. Today, we are going to attend 1st birthday party @ Tiong Bahru..

This is the new outfit for baobei which mummy has ordered online.  Is it nice????

 

Aunty Jouise has rented this bouncer from myjollytown, upon arriving at the venue. Baobei is very skeptical to get in to the bouncer as there are too many children inside. After a 2hrs of "observing" she decided to get in for a try. Just during the 1st 3mins, something terrible happened. One of the big kids accidentally tripped over the "air pump" and the whole bouncer collapse. Scared off little baobei as she is stil inside. She kept crying for mummy and daddy to save her out.

She cried and said she will not want to get in to any bouncer anymore.. So in order to distract her, we brought her to the playground outside the area. And there she gets to enjoy herself.

Daddy says "Bye Bye to Contact Lens"

After a long 3hrs wait of Pre-consultation & eye evaluation test. Daddy finally gets his Lasik Eye surgery today morning at 10am. No doubt he has said that he can just go by himself, and we wait for him at home.. but well just can't reassure myself that he can "see" right after the surgery.

While waiting for daddy, baobei & i went to shop around Paragon during the 2hrs wait, brought baobei to toy r us as she has gotten her 2nd set of 10 stars for good behaviour. Then we went for our brunch @ Delifrance...

Ard 12.15pm, we went back to the clinic... then the recept helps to bring daddy out from the room. Poor thing, when we see him, he is wearing an eye goggle. And tears on his right eyes kept falling.. Luckily I have forewarn baobei on hw daddy will look like when he comes out..

Now, daddy has popped sleeping pills and need to rest at least for the first 6hrs...

Babydeb's Medical Checkup

Today we brought babydeb to a vet @ Allpets Clinic (Jln Kayu) for her medical checkup. Prior to advance booking 2 weeks ago, there is still a waiting time of est 30mins..

Baobei is really a sweetie, she helps to look after Babydeb during the wait.. She ensure that Deb doesn't go ard disturbing other "dog patients"... And when other dogs approached her, well-known for her anti-social to other of her same kind... she nearly wanted to attack one of the dogs during the "introduction"...


Well, what did the vet (she is an "auntie looking", looks much more experience & professional then those vets from other clinics) says?

Deb's body structure
=> Her body structure is still fine, and well-tone... No signs of fractured, or any other conditions due to old age.
=> But alittle "rounder" than a normal JRT.

Deb's eyes
=> Her eyes are discoloured.. due to old age...

Deb's ears
=> Well maintained, no signs of foul smell, or any ear wax found

Deb's teeth
=> Vet is very surprised to see her nice teeth despite her age...

BUT... we have recently discovered some swells on her throat area.. so I brought up my concern to the vet... So after the vet diagnoised and concluded that Deb has 3 swollen lymph notes on her body. Her throat, her tummy & her hind legs.

If these 3 are really sore lymph nodes due to bacterial then vet could just prescibe an antibiotic for her to clear the virus.. The most sadden thing when she told me is, these sore cld also be due to CANCER... All these years, i always pray for her good health.. really hope that even one day she were to leave us to faraway place, she can juz go in peace w/o any pain... But if is really that, due to her old age, any treatment given will also be too harsh for her. Anyway, I have told the vet to let us go back and discuss with the rest of family members to determine if we want to know the course or to just let her be, afterall she has been showing well signs with activeness, good appetite...

   

What are sore swollen lymph nodes?
A: the lymphatic system is the system in the body used to filter out infection and bad bacteria that are harmful to the body, when a lymph node is swollen it is often being overworked and is trying to fight an infection. Typically when you have a swollen lymph node, there is some underlying infection that will either be fought off, will show itself in a less severe form, or will completely beat out the lymphatic system and you will get the full blown sickness.

What are the symptoms?
With lymphadenitis, enlargement of one or more lymph nodes is the most common sign. Usually, with an infection, an elevated temperature is also present. Other signs depend on the area involved. For instance, a dog with a sore throat may also cough, drool, swallow repeatedly, and be reluctant to eat. Some of these signs could be caused by the enlarged lymph nodes interfering with swallowing. If an infection occurs in a rear foot, the lymph nodes further up the leg would be enlarged. Limping may occur not only because the foot is sore, but also because the nodes may be painful and muscle movement increases the discomfort.

Mammary Tumors (Cancer) in Dogs
Mammary tumors present as a solid mass or as multiple swellings. When tumors do arise in the mammary tissue, they are usually easy to detect by gently palpating the mammary glands. When tumors first appear they will feel like small pieces of pea gravel just under the skin. They are very hard and are difficult to move around under the skin. Adding one more member to our family - Deb-B

For the past 10years, I really have failed to be a good mummy for Babydeb. All these years, she has been take care by my mum and for me i'm just an occasional owner to her.

Now, is time for me to take back the ownership. After "negotiating" with daddy, he has finally given in to the request. But of course everything comes with Terms & Condition.
1) Debbie must not go to the bedroom and sleep with us
2) Must clear her "biz" area regularly.

Ok.. this seem quite a reasonable term. Well. in order for her not to go bedroom, we need to get a safety gate. Paid ard S$100 for the gate with extension from Kidzloft. And next we need to get a new dog bed for her... Both Baobei & I saw this bed and luv it at 1st sight.. why?? Because it has the Mickey mouse design.. and further to it, it is pink in colour... We paid abt $28 for this size 3 bed from Pets Station @ Sgoon.

Now the headache thing is the "biz" area. Need to retrain her to "biz" in the toilet is really a pain.. Can't blame her for accidents, cos i have trained her to the wrong place previously.
