Baobei's Y2009 Christmas

This is a post-dated posting, as I'm still struggling with my last few weeks of preganancy. Days-past-days though is already very fast, Still another few more wks to go.. I still have to make my days to & fro to work, looking after baobei after school, and endless of sleepless nights really have caused my days getting more & more miserable.... Now, really looking forward to my long 17wks maternity leave....

Y2009 Christmas is quite a meaningful and fruitful holiday for Baobei.. Why??? Look at her collections of presents... One of which, is actually a present from Santa Claus. In order to make her believe Santa's presence after being inspired by the new dog show "Santa Buddies", mummy asked baobei to make a wish to Santa.. "Dear Santa, I'm Kylie, I wish to have a <DOG>" ..... Of course, daddy & mummy are all behind the scene, one of the days, we went to robinson to do some last minute Christmas Shopping, and mummy found this plush dog selling in Precious Moments, is juz look so nice & huggable.

One Night, mummy just dropped the present beside our small Christmas Tree. Baobei has been asking who give the present as she counts the # of presents she has collected each day.. So mummy just tell her is it could be Santa Claus.


Thank you to Daddy, Mummy, Aunty Van, Aunty Suping, Jiuma, Da-gU, Tr Sherlyn, etc. etc... Of cause thank you Santa Claus.

2nd Pregnancy - 32rd week Gynae Check

It was supposed to be scheduled on 26th Dec, well Dr Lim needs to go holidaying and it was then last min reschedule to be on 24th Dec, Christmas eve...

Luckily baobei's school is only half day, and I'm on leave then. So after baobei's school xmas party, we headed to TMC.

4 weeks have past, my weight is now 58.2kg, Gynae said I have controlled my weight gain for this month very well only 600g gain compared to the last visit.

BB is now 2.2kg, his head is already at 6 O'clock and his body is on my right side, no wonder I always got kicked at the ribcaged... Everything is well, and Dr Lim will get to see me again in 3 wks time which is scheduled 16th Jan 2010. We are all looking forward to see BB#2 esp for Baobei, she is now counting down.. Xmas, Popo Bday, New Year, (K1), then will see Didi...

After a long long wait - M1 finally launched its iphone

After a long long wait, finally M1 has launched their Iphone on 9 Dec 2009. Well, daddy is not in town during the week and I'm not able to get my phone as my hp line is under his name. Aslo we are shunning away from the initial craze where the iphone Q in each store is just so long. Moreover, M1 has shortage for 32GB in the supply. Therefore we waited for another week....

Though we have made our reservation for the 32GB iphone, after enquring with some of the friends, all have commented that 16GB is just good than enough. So one fine day, which is today, I told Daddy I don't want to wait any longer, can you pls just get the phone out... Hahahah... and he really did.. We got the Q# and then we proceed to our dinner at Saka Sushi. M1 called to say is our turn and when we returned we need not Q again, just head straight to counter 6/7 for the collection.

Baobei's School Year End Concert @ Grassroot Club

This is the 1st time baobei is performing on stage in front of so many parents, really look forward to it... Many questions came to my mind during the 1 hour wait, :"How will she react, how is her performance, hows her costume, etc..." when we see her on stage, all these 'Hows' seem to be gone, tt because, she is really doing a very good job.. we are just so proud of her, and she really look so lovely in her purple, yellow costume....

this is a role play, the video only capture her performed scene. Baobei's role is really special, why??? that because she is the only Dragonfly with few tortotises..

Daddy 32nd Birthday..

This year Daddy's birthday falls on a Monday, and happen that the friday before is a public holiday.. So both of us took a day off and of course our little sweetie too... Long 4 days holiday...

Buying a birthday present for a child is always easy, not for daddy.. basically he has everything except a never ending list of golf accessories which i will never get.. hahahaha..

So one day when sweetie wanted to play with daddy's sunglass and he said, if is spoilt will u buy for daddy??? Hahaha.. guess what sweetie answer?? I have no $$... And therefore i got him a new pair of Oakley sunglasses, Straight Jacket as below: Nice?? Instead of buying it off the shelves locally, I purchased the pair from Oakley.com.. Savings?? Yes definitely.. Service from US is fast, the parcel delivers just 1wk after my order, just in time..

2nd Pregnancy - My 29th Week Gynae Check

Oh oh,.. is time to update again for my 29th week appt check.. I'm weighing at 57.1kg now... oh no is now a 9kg weight gain from pre-preg weight.. all thanks to the continuous cravings of Mac Hot Fudge, Kit Kat... sigh.. Though Dr Lim says weight gain is normal, i can't bring myself to see the needle going up & up...

Baby Kayden is well & healthy, he is est 1.767kg.. yes, out of the 9kg less than 2kg goes to him.. which means 7kg is on me!!!.... his head is moving downwards, aminiotic fluid level is normal and placenta level is perfectly alright...

Baobei as usual, waited patiently at the clinic for 2hrs even has past her nap time.. she just waited & waited... to have a 5mins glance of didi from the ultra scan... This time round, Dr Lim let her hear didi's heartbeat too.. and she is so amaze with it...

Baobei amazes us with her new word - DISGUSTING

Today we have our dinner later then usual, baobei napped till 8pm today.. can't blame her she endured throughout the whole afternoon just to catch a 5mins ultra scan of bb.. By time we got home is already 5pm.

We just went to our neighbourhood, Jln Kayu, for prata. Just as we reached the carpark and parking our car, baobei pointed to the dustbin nearby and said "is so disgusting"..

Both of us were like, stunned... who and whr she get to learn this word..

So when we asked her, she said it was 1 of the "dog character" in snowbuddies where budderball said disgusting... and we asked her, what is the meaning.. surprisingly she reply.. it is so yucky..

CLAP.. really proud of her, hahahah

2nd Pregnancy - 24th weeks gynae check

 
   

It is now my 24-25wks pregnancy, which means just less than 4mths will be the arrival of Baby Kayden.

Bb is now abt 900grams. According to the scan, gynae said his size is slightly bigger then his expected. Well, is still ok.. Maternal body is fine, blood pressure, sugar check is also healthy..

Most imptly, to date, I have put on total of 6kg from my pre-preg weight.. hope it won't go on too far.. else hard to lose weight..

Baobei's 1st experience in Nail painting...

It is nothing unusual for baobei to tag along with mummy to her mani & Pedi session.. It is the 1st time, also i suppose is the most memorable experience for baobei to sit on the couch and with her nails painted...

Thruout the painting time, baobei literally juz sit thr quiet and wait for jiejie to finish painting...

And she is juz so careful with her nails and darent move ard till we say is fully drive.

  

 

Mummy's 30th Birthday - 2D1N stay in RTC

This year as mummy is not able to travel, and so we decided to spend a "NUA" weekend in our memorable place - Raffles Town Club.. This is the place whr daddy & mummy spent their 1st Valentine's Day & as well as held their customary wedding in Y2003. Basically we didn't do anything much over the 2D1N stay, and just nua in the club.. What baobei love is the swimming pool..

Baby#2 - Fetal Assessment Check at 20 wks

Today is the schedule appointment for the fetal assessment test... And also this will be the check where gender of baby can be confirmed... My appt is 2pm... We reached TMC at ard 1.30pm and went to Dr lim's clinic to take blood pressure, weight... Oh.. I'm now 53kg.. comparing to the last visit, i have put on another 1.5kg despite having a bacteria infection 2 wks ago...

Back to the  fetal test, the Sonographer first scanned for the gender.. IS A BOY!!!!.... Then she took the scan on the internal organs, length of legs, hands, count the number of fingers, toes.. etc etc... Finally when she is about to take the scan of his head... BB is not cooperative at all, he is in the face-down position... So I have to make a 15min walk around ... And during the time, Jiejie kept telling BB to be gd as she needs to go for her Movie Show, Meatball.... And it works.. BB really listen to jiejie...

All & all.. BB is doing well... And one of the scan at the gynae clinic, bb even waves his hand to jiejie... hehehe...

Baobei new hairstyle & 1st Dental Check

Baobei suddenly wanted to cut her hair short.. Even uncle Tony (Supercuts Stylist) whom has been cutting her hair all this while find it a waste to cut it short.. And he kept asking baobei is she serious abt it...

Snipped.. Snipped... Snipped... This is the 1st time, he took so long to cut this hair and caused baobei to be impatient....

Mummy has recovered from 18 Days of Acute Sinusitis

Last 18 days were a terrible period for all of us.. Mummy is down with Acute Sinusitis.. In layman term = Sinus infection. During this period... the flu just won't go off, from the 2nd wk onwards, because of the the mucus blockage, it caused the constant headache and occasional fever strike. Mummy also has since lost her appetite as well as her sense of smell, her interest to go shopping the weekends usually sleep at home. Everything just seem so restless, moodless.

Only on the 13th day, mummy decided to seek for the 4th doctor.. and then decided to go for antibiotics.. Luckily, it is still safe to consume it during pregnancy.. with the 1st antibiotics taken, it does shows the effect.. flu stopped the next morning.. gradually, the headache minimise, and regain the smell sense...

Thanks to Van, she was the one whom has reminded me of this infection.. after checking from the web, all my symptoms matched..

> Fever
> lost sense of smell

Called the gynae, he kept insisting me to go for H1N1 test or to take tamiflu.. Luckily when i went to the GP, she told me that it is not even neccessary.. based on all the symptoms given to her, she said it will be more wise for me to start taking antibiotics...

Jiujiu has officially moved his house today...

Jiujiu has officially moved his house day... To us, this is the worst house moval arrangement.. Why we said so:.. He sold off his flat in Sengkang, and shifted to a temporary 4-rm flat in JW.. While waiting to scout for his ideal EM... and which means, he has to shift 2x... Popo has this intention to shift together with him first, and will come over to stay occassionally till bb#2 is out... but.. things went wrong...

Popo called in the late evening to say that the 4rm unit is too crampy to accomodate another adult.. and she has to move in immediately to stay with us... Boxes are everywhr, beddings are also everywhr... there is no planning or clearing at all before they shift...

For the past 2 wks, can really see that popo looks very tired.. of course she does.. she has to help them to pack up their old house... and shift to the small flat, and then move all her belongings back to my place.. and start to unpack..

Let's just move forward.. hope jiujiu can get his ideal EM soon...

Baobei's movie craze - G-Force

All of sudden baobei said she wants to watch Hamster movie aka G-Force... She said, many of her friends are talking about this show in school.. and she wants to watch it too..

Daddy & Mummy seldom watch movie because it is never convenient to bring her along... as most of our shows are either action or PG type.. Lately, we have been going to cinema but watch kiddos movie...

On 9 Aug, we watched "UP"..

We watched G-Force.. it is about a group of guinea pigs which have been be trained to be FBI agents. Really cute..

Baby#2 - Ultra Scan at 16 wks (10.5cm)

Today is gynae appt, so far i'm weighing at 51.5kg, comparing to my 1st gynae visit which is 48.9kg my weight gain as of todate is still quite reasonable...

Blood pressure is still perfect despite having all the shit given by the ILs issue again.. This issue has been going on for years since my 1st preg till 2nd preg.. Can't they just be more sensible to resolve their personal issue w/o affecting anyone else?? Anywhr.. don't talk about it.. IJust let me con't on be the bad guy..

during the scan, Dr Lim  tried to scan for their gender  .. Well, because of the position, it can't be seen very clearly.. All he can say is suggestive gender will be a boy.. why he said so? He scanned the umbilical cord, and juz some whr below it there is another unknown "pop-out" thing and he thinks tt will be the penis..

I don't ask for more,, i just hope that both Baobei & #2 to grows in a healthy, harmonious family environment, whoever who can't do it for the sake of them, i will not hesitate but to stop their contact with us.



 

Baobei goes diaperless - Day 5

It seem like it is quite a success, except that there is an "accident" on Day 4 where Baobei wet herself.. Lucky with the blue sheet, else the whole bed will be wet!!!... Anyway, well done darling!! Mummy is proud of u!!!

Finally the day we are all waiting for is here, few days ago when daddy took out the last few diapers in the wardrobe and asked baobei if we are still going to buy new pack of diapers.. And her replied was "No Need"...

Today, we asked baobei to same question again, "Do you still need to buy new pack of diapers" and her reply is still "No Need".. Ok fine... since she is all ready, we should be more encouraging...

So mummy asked aunty ML to help us to get the blue sheet (is a blue absorbent sheet which generally used for confinment mummies). Placed it underneath the bedsheet just in case if there is really miscue and wet the whole mattress...

Baobei's unforgettable 4th Birthday Celebration

This year, should be an unforgettable year for BB cause she has celebrated 3x of bday, and is with chicken pox!!...

1st time is with some of our closed friends.

2nd time, is on her actual day which by right she should be celebrating in school.. BUT she celebrated with daddy & mummy and of course her Poxes....
  

 


3rd time, is actually a belated celebration in school with her classmates.. According to her form teacher, she is really happy that day.. can see her smiles all the time..

 

2nd Pregnancy - 13th week gynae check

Yea is time to meet the little one in the tummy again.. DAddy, mummy & jiejie are so excited... Esp Baobei.. She woke up, readily go and get prepared.

WE first have our lunch @ Boon TOng Kee, then headed to TMC. Yummy, is chicken rice again..
 

During the scan, Dr Lim said foetus is growing well, at 13wks 5days, is now 7.36cm. And from the scan, we can clearly see the head, body (bone structure), 2 arms & legs are kicking in the tummy.. He tried to peep on the gender, but because of its position, he can only make a dare guess... **WITH BIRDIE**.. Well this is not confirmed yet, has to wait till the next appt then perhaps to be able to see it.

FRankly, deep in my heart, i really wish to have a boy for this time. With a 女 then a 子, it has formed the chinese word 好 representing GOOD.. And it will also balance off the "yin" in the family. Too many girls.. hahaha..  Keep finger crossed, let's wait for the next appt hopefully by then we will get a more confirmed answer.

1st few Red spots on Baobei's body - Chicken Pox

Recently there is a Chicken Pox Outbreak in Baobei's class. 1-after-another, the children got infected... Just a few more days will be BB's 4th Birthday, we were hoping very much that she will not be one of the "lucky" ones...

During the morning shower, we found 2 red spots on her body.. TO play safe, we brought her to our family doctor, and then Dr Ivan confirmed the spots are really chicken pox.

The 1st 3 days were really bad, BB strike with stubborn hi-fever to as high as 40D.C. No matter how we sponge, with medic, the temp is still range between 38.5 to 40. And of course, during this period, more & more poxes appeared all over her body, face, head, even tongue with more than hundreds of the blister-like.

From Day 4 to Day 7, that's when the blisters starts to dry up, the itchy stage kicks in.. Constantly remind BB not to scratch off the skin else it will leave on with ugly scars...

Week 2, dry skin starts to peel, and scars are healing...

What is Chickenpox?

Chickenpox is a common illness among kids, particularly those under age 12. An itchy rash of spots that look like blisters can appear all over the body and may be accompanied by flu-like symptoms. Symptoms usually go away without treatment, but because the infection is very contagious, an infected child should stay home and rest until the symptoms are gone.

Symptoms

Chickenpox causes a red, itchy rash on the skin that usually appears first on the abdomen or back and face, and then spreads to almost everywhere else on the body, including the scalp, mouth, nose, ears, and genitals.

The rash begins as multiple small, red bumps that look like pimples or insect bites. They develop into thin-walled blisters filled with clear fluid, which becomes cloudy. The blister wall breaks, leaving open sores, which finally crust over to become dry, brown scabs.

Chickenpox blisters are usually less than a quarter of an inch wide, have a reddish base, and appear in bouts over 2 to 4 days. The rash may be more extensive or severe in kids who have skin disorders such as eczema.

BB Reward - New 16in BMX Bicycle

Finally, BB has received the 16th stars from daddy and as a reward, daddy bght her a new bicycle from one of the shops in CHong Pang... THis bike isn't cheap!!! it cost S$120+... well paying for a better quality for sure

TMC School Gathering cum BB 4th Bday Celebration

With the returns of Van, we will normally make an arrangement for a meetup with the rest of the gangs. This time, we have it at San's place. Is a Potluck..

After some discussions with San, we make it the day with a small celebration for Baobei 4th Bday so as she can celebrate it together with her little friends...

Baobei's School Carnival @ HotPark

Is the school annual event, this year is our 1st time participating... Though it is a little disorganise.. we really had a great time there.

And what's more, is a great chance for Parents-Child Bonding. There are activities, stall games, lunch & Magic Show.

Also, we have won the 2nd & 3rd prizes during the lucky draw...

Mummy is Pregnant...

After 2 weeks of delayed, I got a test kit and tested as "Positive". At the snap of time, the feelings are very mixed.. Why??


Reason being, I have just lost my job and with pregnancy how to able to find a new job????

The news only make known to family all seem to be very happy... but why not me??? I have lots of thoughts flashed in.. From Job, to HB, to Baobei.. How are we coping with another baby??

Well.... i got a new job in less than 3 wks after i left the previousj ob.. the employer is aware of my pregnancy.. so far there isn't any further updates..
Baobei is doing well as a jiejie.. She has been "sayang" my tummy esp times when I have morning sickness and tell BB to be good.. To be exact is not really MS.. it just feeling nauseous all the times.... But I really puke a few times after meals due to the "overeat"...

Based on the internet checking, EDD is 14 Feb 2010.. Romantic right? Is a Valentine baby.. BUT... Is also the 1st day of CNY... No goodies...

Mickey Mouse Workshop @ Parkway Parade

This is the one of the successful workshop organised by Parkway Parade. With a min purchase of $30 in the mall, you can get the entry pass to try out 4 stages of fun in the atrium. So we bought the Swimming accessories for baobei from Isetan...

1st stage: while waiting for your turn, there is a colouring section.
2nd stage: Handy Manny, identify and match the tools used.
3rd stage: Little Einsteins, identify and match the next musical note
4th stage : Pooh adventures, to drive the car along the track and rescue the friends.
5th stage : Mickey & friends, to fix the puzzle (this is too easy for baobei) already... hahaha.

Upon completion, there is a souvenir bag given. And this bag is now used for keeping her swimming accessroies.. Hahaha..
