CNY'10 Day 15 - Yuan Xiao

Before mummy can enjoy this CNY, is the end of CNY today.

We have our lunch at one of the cafe in Raffles City.. Then & then, mummy went to shop for a few things. Bought a dress from Dorothy Perkins & a Red CK Bag from Robinsons... Initially mummy wanted to buy a yellow bag from the same brand.. Well, daddy & baobei kept insisting that this red one is nicer..

After shopping for few hours, we had coffee at TCC and also this is the 1st time mummy is expressing milk outside and i'm really glad tt baobei is very coorperative.. When she is in the nursing room with me, she just sit at the corner and meddling with my hp... rest of the mummies whom see her behaving this, all compliment she is a GOOD GIRL.. **PROUD**

To wrap up the end of CNY'10, we have a nice vegetarian dinner at Lao Di Fang @ Park Mall with Popo & Jiujiu, Jiuma...

The Part Time Maid Terror

Thru recommendation I have called for Gindaly Enterprise for part time maid service, initially i thought is a Chinese maid, came along with a Mynmar maid call Jeny.

Gosh i have never never seen a person ironing 10 Men Shirts in 1.5hrs.. A person who washed the toilet and not washing the wall tiles.. Rather sorry for being crude.. can't help but to say she is very "TUT".. when she is in the toilet, she still ask me if thr a need to wash the shower area or juz the toilet area. And also there is a cotton pad in the toilet bowl and she juz insert the toilet scrub w/o flushing off the cotton first.. make the toilet scrub all with the cotton...

She vaccum the floor ard the house and i still have to remind her there is the existence of kitchen.. I asked her to help me to change my bedsheet, in the end, she didn't use the right side of the bedsheet and I still have to change by myself!!!!.. really damn it...

Lastly, she clean up my house with leftover mess in my room.. in the end i still have to clear it up!!!!... See pix below.

This is really maddening.. I called up the boss Alice and complaint. She still dare to tell me, she can;t do anything., When the maid is there i need to be there to supervise... WTF!!!!.. If i need to supervise her all the while, then i mite as well don't call for her service.. And if she call her back to redo, I still have to pay her...

Is Baby's Full MOnth at Aloha Loyang Garden Terrace

Today is the big day for baby... We got up early to get prepared and get changed to their new customised tee which mummy has previously ordered a customised tee for both darlings from http://www.babyatwork.com which cost me S$73.30 for these shirts.. And this will be the best present from mummy to them... For Baobei, is Big Sister Kylie & For Baby, is Little Brother Kayden...

For DAddy & Mummy, will be the Polo Shirts from Ralph Lauren.

At 1.30pm, is time we all set off to the Chalet... We checked in at 3pm, guests start to arrive after 4pm... My best of pals, Esther & Royy also have arrived early and look at the pix taken with my kids.. Don't you find they are like Happy Family????.,..

My last guest, arrive at 8.45pm.. And she is my ex-colleague , I'm so touched when she passed me her custom-made angbao with baby's photo imprint on it...

The end of confinement... Baby 1st trip to T3.

Today marks the end of the confinement.. No more herbal bath, no more "nags" when we go out, everything will be back to normal...

Mummy has suggested to go T3 for dinner as we are hands-tight to cook our own meal nowadays... Partly also, we are lazy to cook. We went to the food-court at T3, and had hand-made noodle.. Oh.. The noodle is not nice.. Mummy still miz the noodle from Tampines One... Should find a day back to Tampines one...

Anyway, after our dinner.. Opps Baby poo.. so we brought him to the nearest toilet to change his diaper.. Tt is his 1st time changing diaper in the public.. After the changed, baobei asked "mummy, can i help you to throw away?" I'm so pleased with her.. And gave her a big kiss with Thanks... I'm proud of her!!!!

We walked further down and saw the mini-playground.. Baobei said she wants to play for a short while.. Oh my.. THen I realised she has grown so much taller over the year. Last year April, when we were there, she hasn't exceed the height of the playground.. And now, she has overshoot it... HEhehe...

Mummy new managed hair

Awaited for like coming to a year, finally I can "style" my hair.. Requested popo to help bbsit Baby.. And off I go..

At the Hair Salon, was messaging with Esther. She asked me, what do you want to do after yr confinement.. My reply to her was "IMAGE"... Hahaha.. Anything can be purchased later, Hair can't wait any longer..

I did a rebond and a nice haircolour.. It just worth sitting there for 6 hours....

Baby's Jaundice

This is to record for how we treated baby's jaundice... In case, few months or years later when someone asked.. and i forgot all about it...

Baby's jaundice level was about 12.1 and it lasted for about 3wks.. What mummy and popo did was, to boil Jin Ying Hua (aka Honeysuckle Flower) to bathe baby... It is commonly sold in all medical hall, and we bought ours from Hock Hua.. Now the price of this flower has raised up to $110 per kg comparing to years ago when we bought for baobei..., we bought like 50g each and pay $5.50. After boiled the flowers, we used the water to bathe baby.. this con't on for like about 2-3wks.

Also, from other aunties' advise, popo also made red date water for baby to drink it must be 7 red dates, put alittle of water, and double boiled it.. each feed is only about a tablespoon much, and we feed him twice.

After few days, jaundice starts to fade off.

Baobei is down with fever on CNY Day 1

Baobei is down with fever on the 1st day of CNY. We have been preparing her that she will go house visiting with popo instead.. When she wakes up in the morning her temperature is back to normal, so in order to make her go, mummy asked her if she wants to be dressed like a princess? and to see if Chloe is also dressed like princess too..

Daddy & mummy together with baby drove baobei and popo to the Jurong East to meet up with Jiujiu. Yes, mummy & baby are out for car rides during confinement.. and we went back to drive her after she has finished her housevisiting at Great Grandma's house.

Don't know why, whenever with 2 kids at home with popo or even alone i seem to be more relaxed.. if Daddy is home, i just can't help but to feel i'm very busy and can't rest at all.. Maybe becos i always see things undone by him and juz wanted to clear it off rather then to wait for him.

Baobei has taken the interest for FLower Arrangement. Today she asked popo to buy her some flowers so as she can arrange it for CNY tomorrow.

Patiently she arranged the flowers 1-by-1.. And see the final artwork...

Post Natal Massage starts today

After 2.5wks of wait after the operation, today is the 1st schedule PN massage.. really look forward to it, as Rohaya has said, the massage will be a little different between Pre & post Natal.. Prenatal is more like gentle stroke and post natal will be more towards kneading.. to me, it doesn't make much of the diff except for the additional herbs used..

Other than the lotion used on my body, Rohaya has used some special herb to put on my face which supposingly will help to whiten my face and look more radiant.. How true, no idea...

Then towards the end of the session, she then apply another herb on my forehead and this to help to prevent me from getting giddy,,,

Well, 1 big difference is, the abdominal binder.. since I got the binder from the hospital i always got wrap to the maximum... But today i then realise that the binder can go 2rounds ard my tummy!!!.. Show you pix later on.

Little Thoughts

Is coming to the 3rd week since Baby arrives to our family.. What are my thoughts so?
1) Neglection towards Baobei - I feel I have neglected my baobei even she fully understand that Didi needs me more... Why? She is away to school for the whole day and only back to home in the evening. Sometimes, i really will want to spend another 10mins of my night time with her be it just snuggle her to bed, but i can't. Baby is quite handful at times and always want to be carried esp at night.. And that makes me even more difficult to get close to Baobei.. Whether she can understand it now or not, at times i just feel so guilty for that, and what I can do is to kiss her goodnight right after Baby has fallen asleep and cover her with blanket everytime when i wake up for midnight feeding... Mummy still love her as much as before!!!

2) Confinement basic rules - as much as i try to follow the basic rules ie, take rice wine, eat ginger, rest more, bathe with herbal, i can't... I find my body system just can't follow all these rules.. By the 2nd week i have already stopped drinking the red dates water and drink plain water instead. I shower 2x a day once with normal water in the afternoon and herbal in the evening. The weather these days really sucks.. I can't cover myself with just any additional of clothes and I started wearing shorts & singlets thru out the day... Also as much as i wanted to rest well, i can't do it as I need to fully care for baby at night with all the midnight feedings & expressing.. I don't take naps all the while. Even that, I just endure it to night... When Popo goes out on every wkend, i take simpler meals ie.. Takeaway food from kopi tiam.. PoPo always said next time you will know it when you are older... Pls spare me from that, if next time I really suffer just because of poor confinement i will take my own responsibility for that..

3) Daddy's action - Daddy has been more pro-active right now, for eg, helping out to take milk from kitchen while we are in room. he will also offer to help out in taking care of baby when mummy is attending baobei or expressing milk... The only difference is, Daddy doesn't dare to handle this newborn like changing his diaper, bathe him over wkends, etc.. Which these are the things he used to do it for our 1st newborn.. well, anyway don't expect too much.. Is never easy to get a man to move!!! So be happy with what we have now..
