Mummy returns to TMC for removal of stitches....

today need to return back to gynae to remove the stitches... As is wkend, popo will usually proceed with her own activties, and we are on our own.. so has told daddy we might as well dine out then but juz be more conscious with the food and also need to do some groceries, bb neccessities are all running low... Initally I wanted to go United Sq which is nearer to TMC, daddy said it will be too crowded and therefore we went to Cpt instead.

Had our lunch at Soup restaurant, baby is sleeping so soundly in his *maxi-cosi carseat adapted with his newly bought Quinny Zapp*, had the Ah-Po Fan-shu leaves, soup of the day & steam mince pork with chestnut. Baobei is so happy, as she can finally has full mummy's attention, while baby is sleeping soundly in his stroller. We both went to Kiddy Palace and bought almost all the necessities, while daddy pushes baby around...

At the clinic, did another weight check. Yipee, I'm now 54.2kg, another 5.6kg to go.. This time round, can really feel the hot sensation feeling as the Dr pull out the stitches.. Though he was nice to think of a lame joke to distract me, the pain is quite unbearable as compare to my 1st preg and I still tell him, "is PAIN".. I also have told him about my engorgement & fever for the past few days, he prescribed me with 3days course of Danzen, a type of medic, which helps milk to flow more smoothly.. Miraclely, after taking the medic.. the pain almost gone..

A little talk on my overall appearance: except for my hip, the rest of my body are all shrinking back to my prenatal size.. I'm just looking forward to be able to wear back all my jeans & also a size "S" denim skirt which i bought when i was pregnant as a challenge for me....

Baobei has been wanting to take a photo with Dr Lim... He was too busy last week so this week he squeezed out 5mins of his time just not to disappoint her again. Spotted her happy face???

A little note on the Maxi-cosi carseat & Quinny Zapp.

\Mummy bought this 2nd hand carseat over the web, as baobei has said she wanted to have the same colour theme as her little brother, so mummy hunted high & low for this red colour infant carseat. Determination gets pay off again after waited for almost a month for the seller to sell off her Quinny Buzz as she initially wanted to sell as a package deal which I don't wish to get Buzz since it is so bulky, so waited till abt a month later when contacted again, the seller manage to sell off her Buzz and mummy finally dealed this at $150 and condition of it is relatively new.

As for the Zapp, main intention is to get Y2008 strawberry design preferably to get a 2nd hand set.. well, as we really wanted to buy Y2008 model most of the stores ie. spring maternity, baby hyperstore, etc all have been OOS.. Mummy found the model thru http://www.babynova.com.sg/ and thought they have the stock for it so placed the order online. After contacted to the PIC, then realised that it is also OOS, guess really fated to get Y2009 model... PIC, Ivan, is quite a nice guy, he arranged for a almost immediate delivery instead of 3 working days, he delivered the BN Y2009 Zapp - Oriental, on the 2nd day upon order. And mummy only topped out the balance of $52 on top of the $378 paid upfront. Upon delivery, he even patiently fixed up the stroller for us at 9.30pm!!!... *thumbs up for their service* Mummy & Daddy just love Red for the kids, it is unisex and colour stands out...

It rains finally

Enduring the hot weather for the past wks, finally it rains today afternoon.. Though it is not for long, at least it does brought down the temperature a little.

Today, mummy told popo, she would like to bathe 2x a day instead... We know our body system the best... Whole body is so heated up with the daily chicken essence, occasional tonic soup, plus the red date water. And furthermore, with the hot weather, only shower 1x a day with 3x wipes... Who won't fall sick????

The feeling is just so shiok when bathe under the shower head hahahaha.... hopefully my fever will go off at the soonest..

Mummy is down with fever

Weather has been really bad these days... And only able to shower 1x in a day, mummy finally fallen sick..

After awaken from the afternoon nap, realised that my left breast is engorging, no matter how i tried to pump it out, it still feel sore.. Thinking back to myself, i should be falling sick.

How true it is, during dinner time after my shower, my temp shot up to 38.1 from 37.7. Popped 2 paracetamols, settled Baby & Baobei for their sleep, and mummy dozed off.. Whole night wasn't a good night sleep. tossing & turning, shivering in cold... Plus with midnight feeding and expressing... it wasn't good.. And mummy actually sweated all out during the sleep, woke up with bedsheet & pillow cover all covered with pespiration...

Mummy is back to TMC for changing of dressing

It suppose to be both Mummy & Baby Kay follow-up check up. As mentioned, BB kay has jaundice and PD EK Ong, wanted us to bring him back for review.. Given 4-5yrs back, BB Kyl time, we brought her back for review, and mummy was so disappointed with it. The PD simply just pressed on the few points on her face, removed her clothes, and commented still have jaundice.. And with that, we need to pay like over $80 for that stupid review.

So this time round, for baby kay, mummy told daddy we will just skipped it.. Anyway, both popo & mummy know how to "spot the jaundice" just keep him monitor for the next few days.

Well, we then headed to gynae's clinic. The assistant there lied to us... told us it will only be short waiting time, and who knows we waited for about 2hrs just for the changing of dressing.. Mummy also went to weigh herself then despite the asst aunty disturb her, my weight is now 55.9kg with prenatal weight 48.6kg. mummy still have 7.3kg to go... let see hows the measurement again the next week appt for the removal of stitches..

See my baobei cheekily eating her potato chips... Baobei told us she wanted to take a pix together with Dr Lim and therefore she choose this dress.. Disappointedly, Dr Lim was very busy on the day.. BUT he never forget about her, he specially ran out from the clinic while we are about to leave and give her 3 lollipops... that really has cheered her up..

Baby Kay is discharging from hospital

At ard 9.30am, TMC called me to say that BB Kay's blood test report is out, jaundice level has fallen down to 9.7, and he is able to go home..

Mummy is just so happy, and quickly call daddy to ask him to pick me up.. We reached TMC ard 11am, and by the time we finished all the paperwork, and bill settlement, we are all ready to leave at 12pm.

Mummy is able to discharge from hospital

It was supposed to be the day both mummy and bb kay discharging from hospital.. As usual, mummy got up early for wash up, took the breakfast and waiting for the nursery nurse to bring kay over.. Baobei also have "skipped" school as we have the intention of getting her involved to fetch us home..

Not as what we think, baby kay is not able to discharge from hospital. PD, EK Ong, has sent his blood for testing, he has 12.1 level of jaundice, therefore he need to stay 1 more day for observation.

It was hot & sunny outside, daddy parked his car outside the carpark.. baobei is really thoughtful, she was holding on my hand, is because she worried that mummy will fall down and tt why she is holding on my hand... Can never imagine, 4D stay in TMC, no day no night... the moment i stepped out of the building, i felt sudden giddiness... Thank god i still able to make it to the car...

Home-Sweet-Home, home is still sweeter.. the first thing i did was to tell popo, i need to shower!!!!... Imagine my last shower was on Sat, 4.30pm before the operation!!!!.. And i have been surviving thru body wipes..

I was never lazy, i start expressing regularly at every 3hrs for 15mins... By today, my total milk supply already reached 70ml on both side...

Baby Kay - Day 2

8am mummy woke up early as nurse is here to help to wash up before breakfast... the food serve is really very nice.. esp the confinement soup..

after my nice porridge, the nursery nurse pushed Baby Kay for milk feeding.. As this is the 2nd birth, has learnt to let go in terms of breastfeeding.. so told the nurse i will feed him with formula while i will still express to stimulate for milk flow...

Just as baby has finished his milk the housekeeper aunty came in with a hamper set.. it is from daddy & baobei..

at about 11am baobei is here... she looks so happy and pretty.. and guess what she dare to carry baby loh..

Baobei is here to see Didi

After a long long wait, everyone is curious on how Bb Kay looks... so does Baobei.. Can imagine how happy & excited she is, looking forward to see how didi looks like. Can you see her proud face???

Mummy has also prepared 2 pressie for the siblings gift exchange.. this is believed that when siblings has gift exhanged, they will love each other?? believe it or not.. just give it a try...

Baby#2 has arrived earlier then schedule....

Supposingly we have scheduled our elective C-sect appt on 28 Jan 2010. Well, baby Kayden just can't wait till then...

It was 1am in the morning, all of sudden i woke up from my sleep with a feeling like having "menses" so went to toilet and found that my panties & shorts were wet. Woke daddy, told him that if it is waterbag leakage and he thought it may be just false alarm and ask me to observe for a little while. So I just lied back to the bed.. About 15mins later, another gush came along, woke daddy another time and tell him, we need to go hospital is not i think, confirmed it is waterbag leakage. We woke popo up to sleep together with baobei in our room, and we both took our pre-packed hospital bag, and headed straight to Thomson Medical Centre.

Reached TMC around 2.30am, and waited for a short while, the Senior Midwife came and taped the baby heartbeat monitor and contraction on me... Thru the check, everything is going fine... she also checked if I have any dilation.. sigh.. same as the previous pregnancy.. No Dilation..

4am, Dr AL Lim came.. He still joke around to say is it we have sex and knock the bb out.. hahaha.. after checking, as i'm still in 36wks 6days pregnancy, he worried that bb's lung may still be not matured yet, so he asked the Snr Midwife to inject a steroid jab via my buttock to help bb's lung to get matured faster. And you know what, this jab is really really painful...  While waiting & waiting, daddy went up to the waiting lounge for a nap and me?? playing bejeweled and constantly updating my facebook on the status... till i dozed off.

Between 6.45am till 11.30am, in between there is contractions and lower back aching.. but it is just not intense.. I can still to go toilet and all.. Gynae came ard 11.30am and inform us that he will schedule the c-sect time at 5pm.. We are so so not excited... time passed really slow.. Waited & waited till I doze off couple of times...

Called popo to check on baobei, she cried when she woke up and daddy/mummy is not with her. Popo told her Didi is coming out and she is so happy about it..

Before I go in to Operation theatre and i called baobei again.. Popo said she has purposely went to readjust the alarm clock to later time and when asked her why she did tt she said, i want didi come out faster... She is really sweet..

is 4.30pm, nurse comes in to prepare me for the operation... Clear my bowel, and i request to take a shower before going in to the operation theatre. 4.50pm anesthetist, Dr YC Lim came in.. he is a nice & jovial guy. He chats with me and explained every single little thing he is going to do on me... He first inject something to make me drowsy a little and relax, then he inject the epidural thru my spine.. the moment the numbness comes in, saw Dr AL Lim is in too...about 15mins later, daddy comes in too..shortly after 5mins i heard them saying : READY... DR YC Lim pushed my tummy downward.. then i heard bb cry.. Is baby Kayden arriving to this world.. Daddy works very hard to capture every single moment, too bad he doesn't have a chance to cut the umbilical cord...

Preparations for the new arrival

Lately mummy has been busy preparing for Kayden's arrival. That include ensuring the hospital bag is packed, baby accesories are all fully equipment, Confinement herbs, etc...

This time round, popo specifically has said to do a good confinement this time round so as not to suffer later.. Well, see how it goes lar.. won't want to stress myself too much, tt also incl breastfeeding..

The most importantly, ensuring to Kylie with didi's arrival, she is still our darling, our princess.. The love she gives to didi, he will return to her as well... NOT EASY!!!! afterall she has been the centre of attention for so many years within daddy & mummy...

Nonetheless, Mummy has ordered a customised beansprout pillow for didi as well, the same as the one she orderd for jiejie before she arrives, not too sure how much i paid previously... hehehe... but it sure serve as a momento for both darlings as the pillow case comes with their name on it.
