Mummy & Baobei Go gaigai

Today is public holiday, Daddy goes to play mahjong wif his friends. So mummy brought baobei go gaigai.. All sudden, baobei said "mummy I want to buy BAbybob bag", so asked her to ask daddy if she can buy.  As usual, daddy gave her $15 but mummy can buy only if Baobei is a good girl.

After preparation, we took a bus 70 to Suntec City. Walked past the MacDonald's and Baobei said she want a balloon... as usual bring her over.. And mummy met her Primary school mate whom they have not met for more than 10years!!! and surprisingly, they could still recognise each other.. This Aunty "Lirong" is working as a supervisor in Mac, so she gave me an Apple Balloon...

Is near to lunch hour, so mummy said let's go lunch @ Crystal Jade Kitchen.. Ordered a plate of Yang Chow Fried Rice.. see Baobei eat all by herself and finish the half bowl of rice.

Then we walked down to Marina Square John Little where Barney carcar is there... After the ride, we went for a 15mins elephant ride.. Haha.. What an enjoying time...

Shop & shop, (also mummy is also looking out for the bag) mummy wanted to have kopi so we settled down @ TCC and baobei had her milk...

Came with Aunty Aileen & Lucas didi.. and we con't on to shop till 6pm.. and headed home to meet daddy for dinner.

Throughout the day, Baobei is a good girl, and so mummy bought her the babybob bag after going to 5places in Suntec-Marina Square and finally found it @ Carrefour selling @ S$19.90!!!..

Mummy brought baobei to school today

02323
Today mummy is on mc, she brought me to AppleTree then headed to the GP.. So while waiting, we snapped some pix... see how nice baobei is with her Apple Tree.

When school is open, all children have to do their routine check by the teacher...

Sigh... today coincidentally, teacher spotted a red dot on Baobei's left hand... And forbid her to go school... I felt very bad when i see her puzzled look, why can't i go to school today, as she really look forward when i told her i will drop her to school tomorrow..

WEll since I need to go to GP after this, so brought her togethr with me.. **Phew.. it is juz a suspected case... but doctor also recommended not to let her go school...

Baobei's is a Xiao Da Ren,

Baobei has been pushing her "dinos" in the baby pram which jiujiu has bought for her whenever Popo bring her down for walk.. = Mummy bring baby go walk walk....

Today, Baobei said she wants to go downstairs to wait for mummy to come home from work.... Funniest part is when we reach a step, Baobei asked popo to help her to lift up the stroller like how daddy & mummy do.. and commented "Babybob, you so heavy".. And I remembered just 1-2weeks ago, when daddy & mummy bring baobei out, we lifted her stroller to climb up the stairs.. and we commented "BB so heavy" ...

Is better now not to do anything wrong in front of her..

Baobei read aloud : 2 little twitty bird

When baobei is able to read aloud the whole phrase of "2 little dickey birds", we were all so shocked.. @ the age of only 2.5yrs she is able to read aloud.... Though I have read to her occassionally, it was also with the help of the 2 little birds "Arts * Crafts" which she has made in school.

Perhaps there are many children out there whom are able to perform better, to me, I don't really like to stress her so much now.. This age is really Learn Thru Play time, whats the point of giving her all the pressure, when she will eventually get it from her peers/ Society after she gets in to Primary...

Kylie are you a Jiejie or Meimei???

Sometimes really wonder is baobei still thinking that she is a baby???

See how she walks, like Meimei whom just started walking...

You sure know sometimes being the youngest tend to know how to act "innocent"...

Baobei is a Teacher!!!

Baobei is down with fever today.. Due to the recent outbreak of HFMD, and with 2 recent cases in her school, Appletree.. Better don't risk it... Immediately brought her to the GP @ Anchorvale, and give her the medication, Doctor says better to stop her from school for the rest of the week in order not to further spread to the other kids... Also specially requested my mum to stay with her @ home just in case it will spread to Chloe...

Well, luckily this fever doesn't stop her from being "active".. she still play as usual, just more grouchy.. And of cos wanting to have more attention. B4 bedtime, this little girl can still be a Teacher.. And this is how her Teacher Mas read story to all little children...

What is HFMD?? Hand Foot Mouth Diesease

    RSS RSS What's this?

Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease

Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease (HFMD) is caused by the Coxsackie virus and Enterovirus 71. The throat and tonsils develop small ulcers while the hands, feet, and diaper area are affected by a rash with characteristic vesicles (very small blisters). This is usually a mild illness with the rash healing in 5 to 7 days.

HFMD is spread from person to person by direct contact with the nasal discharge, saliva, faeces and fluid from the rash of an infected person. Both adults and children can be affected, but young children below five years are particularly susceptible.

Symptoms

  • fever
  • sore throat
  • ulcers in the throat, mouth and tongue
  • headache
  • a rash with vesicles (small blisters-- 3-7 mm) on hands, feet and diaper area. The vesicles are typically on the palm side of the hands the sole side of the feet and very characteristic in appearance.
  • loss of appetite

Treatment
There is no specific treatment for the infection other than symptomatic relief of symptoms.

Treatment with antibiotics is not effective and is not indicated. Acetaminophen can be used to treat fever. Aspirin should not be used in viral illnesses in children under age 12 years.

Salt water mouth rinses (1/2 teaspoon of salt to 1 glass of warm water) may be soothing if the child is able to rinse without swallowing. Ensure an adequate fluid intake because swallowing may be painful. Extra fluid is needed when a fever is present.

HFMD in Singapore
HFMD is present all year round in Singapore. Outbreaks do occur in childcare centres, kindergartens and schools. HFMD became legally notifiable on 1 October 2000. Although usually a mild disease, it has been associated with fatalities usually due to complications involving the heart and nervous system.

Advice for parents
Parents are advised to consult a doctor early if their child has symptoms of HFMD. They should also be alert to any change in their child's normal behaviour, e.g. irritation and sleepiness. Should they refuse to eat or drink, have persistent vomiting or drowsiness, parents should bring their child immediately to hospital.

Prevention
Children should be kept away from crowded public places (such as schools, preschools, play groups, markets and public transport) if they show signs of infection. Family members are advised to follow good hygiene practices, including frequent hand washing, to limit the spread of the infection
